PROWERKS LENDS A HELPING HAND![]() This past April, PWMG agreed to donate video production services to Lied Discovery Children’s Museum. The company will shoot and edit a 3 to 5 minute video, which will play at the museum’s Green Village exhibition. The Green Village is a mini-city constructed from sustainable materials designed to educate children and their families about preserving our environment while experiencing everyday living, activities, and responsibilities. | UFC 100 ProWerks’ founding partner, John Paul Franco, has worked on many projects for the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). John Paul was ever present at the recent fight, UFC 100, which aired from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV on July 11, 2009.Duties included motion graphic design, editing and element producer services for the entire event week. The UFC 100 week included the release of the UFC Magazine and the first ever UFC Fan Expo. John Paul also edited Fighter Features for UFC 100, including fighters such as Japanese sensation Yoshihiro Akiyama, UFC Hall of Fame member Mark “The Hammer” Coleman, and Korean MMA superstar Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim. If that weren’t enough, JP edited video elements for the PPV broadcast and in-house show. He also provided editing services to ESPN MMA Live show. Next month he travels to Philadelphia for UFC 101: Declaration. |

Group teamed up with Vision Dynamics
Entertainment, a Las Vegas independent film group, and began production
on an original television pilot called Vegas Schmegas. The
show surrounds the comical daily grind of Vegas clichés such
as Strippers, Showgirls, and would-be Lounge Singers.

Scott Craig has been working feverously on the audio for the feature film, “Strongarm”. Directed by local Las Vegas filmmaker, Mike Lazar. “Strongarm” is an independent feature starring Paul Sloan. With much of the audio for the film reorded on location, Mike and Scott opted to do several ADR (Automatic Dialog Replacement) sessions to dub over actors’ lines. Working with a dozen actors over a course of two weeks, Scott utilized the new sound booth at ProWerks Media Group. Working in ProTools, an industry standard audio program, Scott was able to enhance the film’s dialog add sound effects and sweeten the sound track.

PACKAGE FOR UFC MMA is a mainstay in American television and sports; everywhere you look there is a new show for the sport. The MMA giant UFC has recently produced a new show for the Spanish-speaking market;UFC: Explosión highlights past fights and is re-branded in Spanish. ProWerks Media Group was contracted to create the graphics package that accompanies each episode. With a tight deadline, the team at ProWerks hustled to get the package ready. Taking the clients’ concepts and collaborating, the team came up with a unique design Kelly Schwarze created the graphic look of the package; meanwhile John Paul Franco oversaw the stylization of the graphics and created 3D logo animations and bumps. The graphic elements for the show were then woven together by Mark R. Johnson as 3D elements and motion design work. UFC: Explosión airs internationally in Mexico. Nationally the episodes air on the Azteca America networks; Check your local listings for air dates and times. Clubhouse![]() With such deep ties to Las Vegas and filmmaking, it is only natural that ProWerks wants to give back to its community. ProWerks has donated its time and equipment to a project sponsored by CineVegas and the Boys & Girls Club of Las Vegas. The project, entitled “The Clubhouse”, and offers young inspiring filmmakers a chance to make a short film. The young up-and-comers will be given camera and audio lessons by Kelly Schwarze, and Mark R. Johnson. After the lessons are completed, the reigns will be giveover to the kids, to create their very own work of art. The film will premiere at Cine Vegas later this summer.
